Presenting the Gospel of Jesus Christ through Song, Word and Testimony

Prayer Answered: NO RAIN! [1]

[thumb:558:l]Another year has come and gone and another Gospel Sing is over. We had a beautiful day, NO RAIN! All the groups showed up and were on time and the schedule went smooth. And more people attended than last year. Everyone had a great time and some die-hard people stayed till the very last note was played. Some cuddled in their coats and blankets towards the end because it did get a little chilly when the sun went down.

There were a few glitches in the day but overall everything went according to plans. At one point in the afternoon the wireless microphones gave us a little trouble. But I think we had some interference with the fire station being across the road from the park. Then a little before 7:00 it started to thunder and the wind started blowing so much that papers were blowing across the park and a few of our tarps almost took flight! Both of those times a few of our prayer warriors attending started praying and nothing more happened.

We’ve been hosting the Gospel Sing for 6 years now and none of those years has it rained even one drop during the event. Sometimes it rains every day for a week before and even up to the night before, but never on the day of the event. Some might say we’re lucky but I know we are blessed. We put so much prayer into the event before it even happens and then we have people praying throughout the day as well. God couldn’t do anything else but bless the day.

[thumb:534:r]Every night the week before the sing a group of us usually prayer walk around the area of the park we use. For me, it’s also a great family time as our kids participate as well. But many nights others joined us too. It’s become a tradition and one we look forward to.

This was the first year that we were all ready to start in time that we could have some more prayer with all the volunteers and singers that were present as well as some guests that joined in too. I was surprised how many people wanted to join in the prayer for the event.

Prayer makes all the difference and if you don’t believe me, try it!

  1. Kris and Lou,
I had a wonderful time at the festival this year, as did my daughter. You guys are a class act, yes Lou, even you! (LOL) I look forward to being able to share more music with you next year at the 7th annual sing….7 is the perfect number and I pray for a full park to minister to. My prayers go out to Pastor Farrell also, that the doctors are wrong and the Lord will amaze them with a miraculous healing. God Bless you and your efforts to spread His good news! Love you all!
