Give Thanks [0]

Our Thanksgiving report is a little late this year with the passing of Lou’s mom. First I want to say “thank you” for all your emails, cards, phone calls, dinners, visits, and most importantly your prayers for the family during this difficult time. We know that Gladys is in a better place where there is no more suffering or pain. Praise the Lord for that hope! As Keith mentioned last weekend during one of our concerts, it was great to see at the funeral service how many people stood to testify how much Gladys affected their lives and how many people she brought to the Lord. It made me think of a song Lou used to sing, “Thank You” by Ray Boltz. We might have to revive that song!

If you haven’t heard the song before, it talks about a man that dreamed he was in heaven and people kept coming up to him and saying how he had affected their lives and if it hadn’t beeen for him they would not be there. That is the kind of life I want to live. As Robin Mark puts it so elequently in his song, “When It’s All Been Said And Done — there is just one thing that matters. Did I do my best to live for truth? Did I live my life for You?” Lord I’ll live my life for YOU!

We have much to be thankful for this year! Here are a few other ministry praise reports:

The Well Online

We’re still trying to get some of the old issues of The Well online. We were able to get a bunch of Thanksgiving stories up and we’ll be putting a bunch of Christmas ones up this week too. Go to www.thewellministries.org/the-well-online if you haven’t had a chance to check it out yet. Also if you are not subscribed to the Living Water email list be sure to do so because we’ll be sending out some great Christmas stories this month.

Eat n Park Fundraiser Report

Our first Eat n Park Fundraiser was successful in the fact that we raised $99.50. Many thanks to all who dined there to donate to our ministry. I’m sure we’ll try it again next year as long as Eat n Park still offers the program.

Festival of Trees

Our second year participating in McKeesport’s Annual Festival of Trees was successful just in the fact that we had a presence in a community event. Our tree looked great with the little “bucket” ornaments. Be sure to check out the pictures in our gallery or the official pictures from McKeesport Recreation Committee. We still have a few ornaments left without pictures. If you want one, the cost is $5 plus $2 shipping.

Busy December

December is usually a pretty busy month with the holiday that I don’t usually book a lot of programs this month. But for some reason, this year, we’re really busy with both Chalice and the Puppets. Praise God for the opportunities to share about Christ’s birth and the real reason for the season. Don’t forget about our Annual Holiday Concert on December 30th at 2:00 PM. Be sure to click the link to download a flyer for more information.

YouTube.com

Some of you may have already received an email from a friend with a link to a video on YouTube.com. If you haven’t, then we’ll tell you that it is a hosting site specifically for videos. We’ve signed up for a free account and are putting some of our videos/songs there. Be sure to check it out and help us get some exposure by rating the videos. Go to: www.youtube.com/thewellministries to see our videos. (Now our son, Lance, said that I shouldn’t put all the videos up in one day because we will get better exposure if I spread them out 3-4 days apart. So be sure to sign up for the notifications or check back every couple of days. I have uploaded only 2 of 12 video segments from a worship service at Believers Basement CoffeeHouse in Bellevue and I have 2 others ready to go up as well. But I’m sure we’ll keep adding more after that.)

Guestbook and Comments

If you have attended any of our concerts/programs, you can help us by signing our Guestbook and leaving a comment or testimony about the program. It helps us by giving people looking for a group a reference/referral and positive reasons to use us, especially for those who have never heard of us before.

To entice you to leave a comment we’re going to offer an incentive. Everytime you leave a comment anywhere on our website, your name will be put into a drawing for a chance to win a great prize. Currently the drawing will be held quarterly but that might change to monthly as the comments increase. There will not be a limit at this time with the exception of one comment per page and all comments need to be genuine and unique. We reserve the right to refuse to publish comments considered to be spam, advertisements, etc.

Visit our guestbook or our past events page to leave comments.

2007

Our calendar is already filling up for 2007 so be sure to check our schedule page for upcoming concerts/programs. Plus if your church wants to have Chalice or Puppets for the King come, be sure to get your request in early, especially for the summer and holidays — our busiest times of the year.

Merry Christmas

At this time of the year we seem to spend time reflecting on our lives over the past year. As we do so may we remember that Jesus is not only the reason for the season, but the reason for it all!

May you and your family receive a new revelation of the Savior’s Love this Christmas and throughout the coming year.

Blessings,
Kris and Lou Rhoades
