We had a great time with the folks there. Lou, Emily, and I went up on Thursday night to get a head start. The weather was perfect, a little colder in the evening but I'd rather have colder than so hot. From what we heard it was probably the best weather it had been all week.

We all slept in and missed breakfast on Friday then set up all the "stuff" in the Tabernacle for the evening service with Puppets for the King. Suzy and Byron led worship that night. The puppet show was a climax to their VBS closing program and a hit with all present. Of course, the "Three Little Pigs and the Big, Bad Wolf" were especially a favorite. The speaker offered a message on The Savior and spoke about Jesus and the Woman at the Well! Gary joined us late Friday evening. Chalice offered a late night "Jam" Session and had several people join. We were singing till about midnight.

Saturday was a leisurely day until the service at 7 PM. Keith joined us in the afternoon. Chalice led worship for the evening service and the speaker did a dramatic presentation of a woman who witnessed the events leading up to and including the crucifixion of Jesus. After the service we had another "Jam" session. Some of the same people from the previous night and some new ones attended and everyone had a good time. We ended about 11:00 and headed to bed.

Sunday morning church service was different for most people. It was a concert of prayer. There were various topics predetermined for prayer and the speaker led those sessions. Chalice played a song between each of the prayer sections. Then after lunch Chalice had a short concert featuring some of our more traditional songs. In the end we were all tired but energized in the Spirit!

Many thanks to the gang at Kiski Valley Family Camp for their great food, friends, and fellowship!

Kris - Blessings to you, your family and ministry! I know that you are probably set for your Gospel Sing in September - God provides. However, my new band "Level 4" would love to share our music and ministry at the event should you have a time slot that needs to be filled. We are also able to be a "last minute back-up" Please visit our website (www.fwcpgh.org) to hear some song clips.

I miss seeing you and ministering with you in the same circles - at least we got to see each other often when I was with AO1. Let me know if there is anything we can do for the event. Please also keep us in mind for any other events you may need additional music ministries for - Looking forward to hearing from you soon-

Hi Kris,

I am sorry to have to cancel our Nov 7th engagement. That weekend, all of the local Free Methodists pastors and their praise teams will be at our church. There is a slight possibility that we can have you come in the summer. I will let you know. Excited that you will be at Kiski Camp! Thank you and God bless!
Mary Ann ps Please let me know that you received this!

Dear Kris and team

What a blessing you all were tonight! I felt like I was dwelling in the presence of our Mighty and Loving God. I liked the theme and your choice of songs. They lifted me beyond where I was to where God wants me.

Henk just called. I am delighted that you will be coming next month. You will be a very special Holy Saturday worship which we will urge people to make a part of their Holy Week! That advertising will start with tomorrow’s power point which I am just finishing – adding tonight’s pictures!

Praising my Savior all the day long!
David

It's great to see a group of churches, especially of various denominations, getting together to worship God. This regular service is the first Saturday of the month and includes Cheswick Presbyterian Church (where the service is held), Springdale Presbyterian Church and Springdale Open Bible Church.

Chalice leads there as we are able so check our website to see when we'll be back again. We know for sure we'll be there next month! (April 3rd, 2010)

Thank you for this story and song of praise to the Father...He alone created us, and not we ourselves...we are created to worship Him and bring Him the praise He is do. I have a nephew in heaven that I will meet again, someday. His name is Aaron and lived a few short days over 25 years ago, born to my sister Elizabeth and her husband Gilbert. They now have 2 children, ages 16 & 15. Your testimony blesses me. Thank you God for Zoe, her parents and grandparents

Woke up this morning to a few flurries and while we were packing to leave the flurries got a little heavier. We weren't sure what to expect when we got to Point Marion, knowing it was about 1.5 hours away and in a higher elevation from McKeesport. But we pressed on.

The light snowfall never stopped the whole way there and we even ran into a few slick roads but Restored Ministries was planning the event snow or shine. So we tried to dress warm knowing it would probably be cold, which it was -- only 30 degrees!

We arrived a little early so we'd have time to set up our stuff, including the puppet stuff, but because of the weather and how wet it was we decided not to use any of our equipment, not even our instruments. And it's impossible to set up the puppet stuff when it's wet so we were not able to do that part at all. Pastors John and Janet were very understanding and appreciated our effort.

They were running a bit behind in setting things up because of the snow and a slight electrical problem. (The city's electrician was supposed to hook up electric for them but he was called out on a fire call. A local neighbor was gracious to let them use their electric till the electrician could get back,)

So we went to a local coffee shop across the street to kill a little time and get warm.

After a short time we went back over to see how things were transpiring. Still no electric for the sound system. Knowing Gary and Keith both had other commitments for the evening and were only able to stay a short time we decided to brave the weather and sing acapella. We ended up singing about a half hour till my poor feet were frozen.

We headed back home after saying our "goodbyes" and getting lots of hugs. Pastor Janet said they would surely have us back in the spring.

We made it home safe and sound. On the 11 o'clock news I heard about a bridge nearby that had an 8 car pile-up this evening. Thank you God for watching over us today and getting us home safe and sound!

Lou and I were pretty tired especially after being out singing late last night. I'm sure Gary and Keith were tired too. Whoopee! We get to do it again tomorrow!
