We had another great service. The new speakers sounded great! Thank God and our prayer warriors!
This service was scheduled to be a contemporary worship service. I found out that night that it was a combined effort of three local churches, one of them our sister Open Bible Church in Springdale.
We sang at this church for an outdoor event back in June with Renegades 4 God. On that day, there was a woman attending that was deaf and we did not know it. Emily did “Shout to the Lord” in sign as the last song of a set and afterwards this woman came up and gave Emily a huge hug for doing that…it was the only song that woman “heard” that day. So I told the pastor that when we returned in October we’d do a few more sign songs for this woman.
As it turned out there has been a woman attending our church that knows sign language and after hearing our testimony of the service back in June she offered to come and sign the whole service that night. Jan practiced the songs ahead of time to be more familiar with them but she also signed the spoken words as well. Emily and I did the few songs we know in sign to give Jan a little break.
The most exciting part was when we started singing “How Great Is Our God” and I looked out and the woman was signing the song back with Jan. It was like she was singing it herself, in sign!
When we completed the last song I heard from the back of the church, an older woman shout, “please come back again, anytime!”
There was a small fellowship time after the service where Subway sandwiches were served and someone asked if we could come back next month. We were not already booked the night in question so we said, “sure!”

It was definitely a great service!
