New Year Pray
by Keith on Saturday, December, 31, 2005 at 9:18 am |
Lord God, as we draw ever closer to this first day of the new year, we praise You for all the good things that You have done for each of us. We thank You Lord God, Father God, we accept the fact that we are unworthy of Your blessings Your grace and Your love, but we try humbly to accept … (Read the rest)
MERRY CHRISTMAS
by Keith on Saturday, December, 24, 2005 at 7:14 am |
I pray that my Lord God, Almighty God, Powerful and Loving God, The Great I Am, will continue to bless you each and every day. As you conclude your preparations and actually get to the celebrating of our Lord’s birth, that the blessings would be overwhelming, as they were that first night. May Emmanuel through the Holy Spirit truly be … (Read the rest)
Passion Two
by Keith on Saturday, December, 24, 2005 at 6:35 am |
A month or so ago, I asked a bunch of questions, somewhat rhetorically, but nonetheless I asked them. They had to do with passion. Who has it? And some of the Whys? I didn’t answer any of the questions, but I gave an example of a young man that has passion and he shows it. I would like to go … (Read the rest)
LOVE
by Keith on Saturday, December, 17, 2005 at 9:37 am |
John 15:13 – No one has greater love than this, that someone would lay down his life for his friends.
Two hundred and twenty-nine (229) years ago our Founding-Fathers made some serious and passionate decisions regarding our great nation. The New World landscape changed, and at great cost to everyone, a new nation was born, The United States of America. … (Read the rest)
Happy Thanksgiving
by Kris (Chalice) on Sunday, November, 27, 2005 at 8:33 am |
While many people were busy baking pies and preparing stuffing for their turkeys some people spent Thursday remembering the real reason we celebrate the fourth Thursday in November – Thanksgiving.
The first Thanksgiving was actually a festival that the original colonists celebrated in 1621 after their first crops were harvested. It was a celebration to boost the morale of the … (Read the rest)
GIG Coffeehouse
by Kris (Chalice) on Sunday, November, 20, 2005 at 9:07 pm |
Friday night, Emily and I drove down to Uniontown to GIG Coffeehouse. They have Christian music and bands almost every Friday night and the people that manage the coffee house are a wonderful couple. We’ve been serving GIG in music for a little over a year now and always feel very welcome there. It’s about an hour drive for … (Read the rest)
A Small Act of Kindness is Never Too Small
by Kris (Chalice) on Saturday, November, 19, 2005 at 11:07 pm |
It’s amazing who we can touch with our lives, especially when we listen to the voice of God.
Back in September, about 2 months ago, we helped a church out of a bind. They had scheduled a social night only a few days away and the person who was to do the music for the evening had cancelled and someone … (Read the rest)
Still Standing
by Kris (Chalice) on Wednesday, November, 2, 2005 at 9:20 pm |
This weekend was another fantastic weekend of ministry even though sometime Friday afternoon I started coming down with a terrible head cold and it got worse throughout the weekend.
Friday evening we sang at Port Vue United Methodist Church and thankfully, my voice held out through the service. When I awoke Saturday morning it was beginning to get “froggy” sounding. … (Read the rest)
Monkey See?
by Lou on Tuesday, November, 1, 2005 at 6:16 pm |
A few weeks ago I was looking through our vast supply of clipart when I stumbled on this graphic of the 3 monkeys — you know the one: hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil. The traditional way you might see this is: every man (or monkey) for themselves. But this particular graphic was different because the 2 … (Read the rest)
Passion
by Keith on Saturday, October, 29, 2005 at 9:30 am |
What is it about youth and passion? Why is it that young people seem so much more passionate than others? Is it that as we get older, or should I say as we mature, we no longer have the energy, (not merely physically but mentally) we loose the desire? Have our desires been fulfilled? With age/maturity do we tend to … (Read the rest)
Another Great Weekend of Ministry
by Kris (Chalice) on Sunday, October, 16, 2005 at 7:39 am |
It has been another great weekend of ministry. Friday night Chalice played for the Voice of the Bride worship service. It was such a wonderful time of worship. We played from 9:30 till 11:00 PM then hung around for a little to fellowship and worship more. Then Pastor Bob played at 12:30 AM and invited me up to sing with … (Read the rest)
PAID Thank You
by Lou on Monday, October, 10, 2005 at 1:14 pm |
This past weekend was packed full of ministry as we traveled to Elizabeth and West Elizabeth to do puppets on Saturday as well as singing and just singing on Sunday morning. We had a great time of ministry at both locations.
We sang about 14 songs at the Saturday program and only about 6 at the one Sunday morning. Kris … (Read the rest)
October Thoughts
by Kris (Chalice) on Saturday, October, 8, 2005 at 3:42 pm |
October is one of my favorite times of the year but also the time I like least.
I love the beautiful colors that God gives us with all the trees changing. It looks so much like a painting, like God just takes a paint brush and starts dabbing different shades of yellow, red, and orange throughout the trees. What a … (Read the rest)
Great Service
by Kris (Chalice) on Thursday, October, 6, 2005 at 7:27 am |
 We had a great concert at our church Saturday night and it wasn’t us singing. It was nice being a guest for a change instead of being the one doing the service. Through all the years being involved in the music ministry we’ve made many new friends and it’s a privilege to know them. One couple who did the … (Read the rest)
Please Mom! Don’t Make Me Eat Any More Spam!
by Kris (Chalice) on Friday, September, 30, 2005 at 1:06 am |
It’s incredible how much we have come to rely on our computers and email. And it’s more incredible how much “junk mail” I get in my email. I might get a few pieces of actual mail each day that would be considered “junk mail” but I get about a hundred emails each day that are “junk mail” commonly referred to … (Read the rest)
