Beauty for Ashes(0)

Something the devil tried to destroy, God turned it for good – a broken speaker was upgraded by the manufacturer for a fraction of the cost to buy it new!

“To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;… (Read the rest)

Sowing and Reaping: A Testimony of Faith(0)

Laws of Nature

Whether we are People of Faith or not, we all know that there are laws of nature that cannot be denied. There is the law of gravity: what goes up must come down. There is the law of motion: for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. There is the law of conception: male and… (Read the rest)

Prayer Answered: NO RAIN!(1)

[thumb:558:l]Another year has come and gone and another Gospel Sing is over. We had a beautiful day, NO RAIN! All the groups showed up and were on time and the schedule went smooth. And more people attended than last year. Everyone had a great time and some die-hard people stayed till the very last note was played. Some cuddled in… (Read the rest)

2006 Gospel Sing(1)

This is our 6th year of hosting the Gospel Sing here at Renzie Park. I will admit that the first year we did this it was a bigger undertaking that what we thought it would be. But we made it through, it was successful and everyone had a great time. Then three days after our first event was the 9-11… (Read the rest)

Robin Mark in Concert(0)

Last night we had the privilege of being in a back-up choir for Robin Mark. If you don’t know who Robin Mark is you are missing a wonderful amount of music. Or perhaps you already know the music but just don’t realize who the author or singer of that music is. Well Robin is the author of “Days of Elijah”… (Read the rest)

Letting go…and letting God(0)

I don’t know who all reads these postings, but I would like to share a personal experience with you.

This past weekend was a great time of ministry for us. We had a worship service at a new church and I was really concerned how it was going to go. We spoke to the people in charge the week before… (Read the rest)

Dimly(0)

For the Fourth of July holiday we cooked on the grill. Apparently I am finally getting better at it since no police were called and I didn’t have to throw any charred hamburgers away. After dealing with the kids and the fireworks, I was trying to relax while trying to play some stupid game on the computer that my daughter-in-law,… (Read the rest)

Fire!(0)

For Father’s Day this year we got Lou a new gas grill. He was using it for the first time on our front porch (as he and Steven were doing some work to the deck). Well the hamburgers tasted so good that we all wanted a second one. So he went back out to cook another batch. Through the window… (Read the rest)

Is Pain more important than eternity?(0)

As I was going about my daily work of printing the other day I looked down and next thing I knew my back went out….no warning signs…no reasons for it….no way to avoid it. This has happened to me before so I wasn’t caught completely by surprise, but still the pain was severe. As the next few days went on… (Read the rest)

Back at it!(0)

Well the time just flies by and next thing you know it’s months later and I haven’t made a post here. This is actually a sad situation because God is continuing to do awesome works in our lives and ministry.

A lot of you know that read these postings that my wife Kris (the head cheese) had surgery and has… (Read the rest)

Jesus Did It For ME!(0)

What a great service we had last night. It started with the worship team from the Open Bible Church, of which Lou and I are a part of. Then Pastor Bob’s group, “God’s Grace” that includes Pastor Bob on guitar plus an accordion and mandolin, played and sang some older hymns. Afterwards one of our SG friends, Gail Perney sang… (Read the rest)

Whose report will you believe?(0)

Well we set off for a full day of ministry and as we were packing all the stuff in the trailer I felt a check in my spirit and couldn’t figure out what was wrong. So i just went along as usual running late.

We went to a new assisted living place and I felt I was just a little… (Read the rest)

Pittsburgh Won the Super Bowl Part 1(0)

Anyone living in the Pittsburgh area has seen signs and posters cheering the Steelers on to victory for the past several weeks.

Businesses have posted well wishes on their marquis. Cars have been driving around with Steeler flags flying from the windows. Terrible Towels have been waving. You couldn’t escape the black and gold clothes on waitresses, cashiers, sales people,… (Read the rest)

God IS Good ALL The Time(0)

God IS good ALL the time, especially when we let Him!

We’ve been reading a book by Max Lucado, “Come Thirsty.” One of the things he states in the book that has stuck with me is to treat your soul as you treat your thirst – take a drink, flood your heart with a good swallow of Living Water. Dehydrated… (Read the rest)

STUFF FOUND UNDER MY HAT(0)

WOW! What an end and beginning to 2005 and 2006, respectfully. It has been a while since last I wrote here, and I really haven’t written blog type stuff in the past but spewed things from my mind. Scary!!!!!:nailbiting:

Kris was kind when she set up the site and created a section called “Thoughts by ……” (I must say… (Read the rest)
