Is Pain more important than eternity? [0]
As I was going about my daily work of printing the other day I looked down and next thing I knew my back went out….no warning signs…no reasons for it….no way to avoid it. This has happened to me before so I wasn’t caught completely by surprise, but still the pain was severe. As the next few days went on I still had to get things accomplished. Everyone that I talked to was eager to give me their “remedy” such as take a hot shower and let the water beat on the trouble spot, take mega doses of Ibuprofen, lay down, sit up in a straight back chair, etc. I’m sure all were trying to help with something they knew had worked for them.
This made me think of the things of God.
So often we know the cure for other’s problems in their lives that only God can fix. But how eager are we to offer the perfect solution for any problem, JESUS!!! I find that I am just as guilty in not offering the “cure” for others as well. So if that is why my back went out, to open my eyes to get me to open my mouth to tell the good news of Jesus Christ and Him crucified, then I will look to the pain and rejoice in the victory that Christ has already purchased for me with the stripes upon His back.
Serving the risen Savior,
