Read some FunFacts about Keith!
Born Albert Keith Szirmae, of White Oak, he is known as “Keith” to his friends. Keith joined Chalice in February 2004 shortly after Pastor Bob resigned. Not only was a void filled but Keith added a new energy to the group. If you attend one of their concerts you would see and share his excitement and enthusiasm to worship and praise the Lord.
Playing acoustical guitar, Keith also sings the lead part on some songs although he is capable of singing other parts; he is occasionally put to that task as needed.
A member of Hope United Methodist Church in McKeesport, Keith also serves as the choir director for the Cathedral Choir of First United Methodist Church in McKeesport. Since Junior High School he has been singing praises to God through music and song.
He has been married to Jayne for 30 years and is the father of 3 sons, Nicholas, Sandor, and Jacob.
“A sinner striving after the ways of Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior, blessed with the infilling of the Holy Spirit. I have been intentionally walking with my Lord Jesus Christ since 1984, attempting to stay on the lighted path at all costs.”
“God has had His hand upon my life, before I realized He cared, even as I was conceived. Jayne and I have been blessed more times that we can count, share and remember.”
“God answered my prayer for more responsibility in His kingdom here in McKeesport and called me to ministerial work with Chalice. As a result of my accepting His plan, I have again been filled to overflowing with His joyous blessing. Hallelujah, Glory and Praise be unto His Holy Name, and I thank Him everyday for making it so.”
